Reignite Democracy.
Where Everyone is Part Of.
Democracy doesn’t collapse overnight. It fades slowly, quietly when people stop believing their voice matters, when institutions stop earning trust, when leaders stop showing courage, when the next generation looks away.
But it can also be brought back. Not through a single election or a single leader. Through participation. Through education. Through honest dialogue and the willingness to disagree without destroying.
That is what the Estoril Conferences have always been about. And never more so than now. Not observing the crisis, acting inside it.

Conviction
Since 2009, the Estoril Conferences have brought together Nobel Laureates, heads of state, activists, academics and young leaders to debate the challenges that define our time. More than 17,500 participants from over 130 nationalities. Nearly 500 speakers. One shared belief: that the right conversation, in the right room, changes things.
We didn’t change the world. But some of the people in that room did.

Under the theme “Reignite Democracy | Where Everyone is Part Of”, the 10th Edition of the Estoril Conferences will bring together leaders, academics, activists and young changemakers to debate the most urgent challenges facing democracy today across five key pillars.
Rebuilding the credibility of leadership and institutions, as vehicles for the common good, not vehicles for power.
Because democratic values don’t survive in the middle of wars.
A democracy is only as resilient as its most informed citizen.
Inequality in healthcare is inequality in citizenship. A society that doesn’t heal together doesn’t hold together.
Technology reshaping democracy was not designed with democracy in mind. That has to change.
