Bernardo Vargas

Economist from Universidad de los Andes and Master in Business Administration from Columbia University. Bernardo is the former President of Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA) and the founding president of Proexport Colombia (Procolombia nowadays). Bernardo is also a founding general manager of Fiducoldex and a founding partner of the independent investment bank Nogal, which has advised important companies such as Manuelita, Bavaria and Citigroup. Bernardo also worked for 10 years at the Colombian Central Bank.

Roberto Junguito

President of Organización Corona. Industrial Engineer from Universidad de los Andes, Master in International Relations from University of Pennsylvania and Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School. Roberto has a wide journey on the airline industry and investment banking. He has worked on companies such as McKinsey, as advisor on the creation of TransMilenio, Avianca, Aerorepública and Bavaria. In 2012, Roberto was appointed President of El Cerrejon (coal mining) and on 2018 was appointed as President of Corona.

Carlos Mario Giraldo

Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Exito. Carlos Mario holds a Law degree from the Universidad de Medellin and a Master´s Degree in Law from Tulane University. He has over 25 years of experience in retail at Nutresa and Exito and has also held various Board appointments, such as President of the General Board of Directors at ANDI, President of the Board of Directors at the Coca Cola Retail Council for the Americas, Senior Member of the Board of Directors at Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA) and a Board member for Copa Airlines.

Tatiana Rodríguez

Assistant Professor from the Organizations area at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. PhD in Education from the University of Oxford and Master in Education from Harvard University. Her research focuses on adult learning and development at the workplace, management and leadership, coaching and mentoring in organizations and business ethics.

Irene Arias Hoffman

CEO of IDB Lab. Irene holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Carlos III University, a master’s in international Relations from Johns Hopkins University, and a Masters in Advanced European Studies from the College of Europe. She has developed her career working for more than 20 years with the World Bank Group, specifically with the International Finance Corporation, the largest international development institution focused on the private sector. Irene has great expertise on fostering innovation for inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean.

María Lorena Flórez

Director of GECTI (Grupo de estudios en Internet, Comercio electrónico, Telecomunicaciones e Informática) and Professor of Law at Universidad de los Andes. PhD in Law at the Scuola Superiore Sant`Anna (Italy). Fascinated by the newest technologies and the way that they affect consumers and the market in general, María Lorena pursued an LLM in Law and Technology in Tilburg University and has great expertise on consumer rights, digital rights, Data Protection, and Internet Law.

Giovanni Stella

Country Manager for Google in Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and an MBA from the London Business School. Giovanni holds more than 20 years of international experience leading teams in digital transformation and sales. In 2008 Giovanni joined Google and since then, has undertook diverse roles in Dublin, Buenos Aires and Bogotá. Apart of being an entrepreneur, Giovanni is member of the Advisory Boards of Google, Facebook, tech startups and other non-profit organizations.

Francisco Noguera

President of iNNpulsa Colombia. Francisco is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad de los Andes and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University. Francisco has previously served as Vice President of Connections for iNNpulsa, leading the communications, strategies and alliances with the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem and has had various roles related to social innovation. He is also co-founder and editor of Futuros Posibles.

Raquel Bernal

President, Universidad de los Andes. Raquel has been linked to Uniandes as professor to the School of Economics since 2006. In 2019 she was appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs, from where she led the process of adapting the institution to the virtuality, due to the pandemic and led the team that built the Development Program of the University for the following 5 years. Raquel is economist from Universidad de los Andes and holds a PhD in Economics from New York University.

Juana García

Associate Professor from the Strategy area at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. PhD in Iberoamerican studies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Juana is a Founding partner of the Emerging Markets Research Network and has studied the role of international cooperation in the Colombian conflict and the peace-building process.

Andrés Barrios

Associate Professor from the Marketing area at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. PhD in Marketing from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. His research areas focus on interpretive research, statistical models in marketing, and consumer adoption of technology. He also works on low-income consumer marketing and social entrepreneurship. He is an expert in market research.

Connie Cárdenas

Full Professor from the Organizations area at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. PhD in Mental Health Services Administration, from the University of Massachusetts, United States. Her research focuses on women´s leadership, gender issues in organizations, executive women and personal and work-life balance.

Vinciane Servantie

associate professor appointed to the strategy area. Vinciane holds a PhD in Management from Université de Montesquieu, France. Her research areas focus on Business models, management consulting and sustainable, international and social entrepreneurship.

Maximiliano González

Associate Professor from the Finance area at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. PhD in Management with an emphasis in finance from Tulane University. Current Director of the Master in International Finance and Associate editor in the Latin American Journal of Administration: Academia. Expert in Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance.
