John Kidd has obtained his education in the United Kingdom and has worked for several major UK organizations before returning for his University.  He is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at Aston Business School. His research at the University of Birmingham and at Aston Business School focused on the development of IT use in SMEs, the management of projects, and the softer but problematic management issues that concern multinational joint ventures – especially Asia/European issues including their views on Supply Chain Management and their Human Resource development.  

John Kidd has held visiting professorships in several European Universities, and in the China Europe International Business School, Shanghai.  

He has published and presented over 140 papers on a wide spectrum of management matters and has published several books on Asian matters co-edited with Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of the international organization “Horasis”.
