Arie M. Kacowicz is Faculty Member of Georgetown University, the Chaim Weizmann Chair in International Relations, and Professor at the Department of International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He served as Director and Chair of the International Relations Department of the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations. He was the Goldman Israeli Visiting Professor at Georgetown University.

Professor Kacowicz has given courses related to the Middle East and Latin America, such as Negotiating Middle East Peace and Theories of International relations, Realities of International Relations and Realities of the Middle East, International Relations of Latin America, and Globalization and International Relations.

Arie M. Kacowicz has written four books and edited or co-edited three volumes dealing with stable peace, population resettlement in international conflicts, international ethics and global governance. Five of the seven books are related to peace studies, and all seven of them refer to the normative dimension of international relations, in one way or another.
