Philippine´s Senator

The youngest woman elected in the history of the Philippine Senate, Senator Pia S. Cayetano is proof that there’s no limit to what Filipino women can achieve.
She first ran for office in 2004 as a political newcomer under the shadow of her father, the late Senator ‘Compañero’ Rene L. Cayetano. Using her training as a lawyer, discipline as an athlete, and heart as a mother, Senator Pia excelled in her first term and was re-elected to a second term in 2010.
In the last nine years, Senator Pia has pushed for the passage of several measures benefitting women, children and the elderly, while also working to improve public health and social services for the poor and marginalized.
