President of the Partido Popular in Madrid

Spanish politician, member and current president of the Partido Popular in Madrid. Between 2003 and 2012 she was President of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. It is the only woman who chaired the Senate and the first woman from Spain who held the post of Minister of Education and Culture of a Spanish government. Militated in Liberal Union, the Liberal Party and the Popular Alliance, which was renamed to Partido Popular in 1989.
