With an academic background on Economics, Luiz Alberto Machado is specialist in latin-american development by the Boston University. He’s an Advisor to the Economic Federal Council of Brazil and to the Fernand Braudel Institute of World Economics. Luiz Machado was visiting professor at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom, and is co-author of the book Plano Real:Acabou?. He is also Vice-President of Instituto Liberal and Deputy-Director of the Faculty of Economics at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado. Luiz Machado has lectured extensively on international economic issues and was a member of the Board of Governors of the Brazilian Economists Association.
