Co-director of the Centre for the Study of Global Governance at the London School of Economics

David Held is Graham Wallas Professor of Political Science and co-director of the Centre for the Study of Global Governance at the London School of Economics (LSE), where he also coordinates the LSE Masters Programme on Global Politics. Over the last twenty years he has conducted several research projects focused on globalisation and democracy. His latest project is entitled “The Emerging System of Global Governance: Meeting the Challenges of Accountability”. Since 2001 he has been a fellow of the World Economic Forum. Besides public and academic presentations and regular interviews, Professor Held has also been an advisor or guest editor for several well-known publications, such as the European Journal of International Relations and Contemporary Politics.
